How Does CareCredit Work?
Payment for the cost of LASIK eye surgery is due the day of your procedure. Prior to your procedure date, you can apply for CareCredit online or call 800.365.8295 to use the automated service (please note, if you are under 21, you will need to apply online). Approval is based on credit history, therefore CareCredit will run a credit check. If for some reason you are not approved, you can immediately reapply online with a co-signer.
What will be my monthly payment?
Your monthly payment will be based on the plan you choose and the amount you finance. If you do not wish to use CareCredit for the entire laser eye surgery cost, use the payment calculator to the right to determine your estimated payment.
12-Months Interest-Free:
A minimum finance amount of $300 is necessary for the 12-month interest-free plan. A minimum monthly payment is required and your balance must be paid off within the 12-month period. If the balance is not paid in full by the end of the promotional period, you will be charged 25% interest on the full financed amount, regardless of how much is owed at the end of the financing term. There are no penalties for early pay-off.
Extended Payment Plans:
A minimum of $1000 to $2500 is necessary for the extended payment plans. A minimum monthly payment is required and the interest rate charged is 14.9%.
Many healthcare providers including dentists, orthodontists, and veterinarians accept CareCredit.
Payment to Eye Care Specialists:
You should receive your CareCredit card within 7-10 business days. We do not need the actual card to process your LASIK eye surgery payment, only the 16-digit account number starting with “6019-” and your desired payment term. However, we will need two forms of ID when you sign the transaction agreement at check-in. If the account holder is not present the day of surgery, will we need him or her to sign the transaction agreement prior to the procedure date.
Payments to CareCredit:
Payments will be made directly to CareCredit through their parent company, Synchrony Bank. You will receive your first billing statement within 30 days of your transaction date.
